Working of GTM

There are 3 main parts of Google Tag Manager:

 Tags


 Snippets of code or tracking pixels from third-party tools that collect data from a website or app
   eg: Google Analytics tracking code

  Triggers


This tells GTM when or how to fire a tag 
eg: Pageviews, scroll depth, Form submission, etc.

 Variables


 Additional conditions that define when triggers should tell tags to fire
